Grace Walker is a multi-talented person based in both Rochester and New York City. She is a photographer, artist, and garden farmer, specializing in food, lifestyle, and portrait photography. Noteworthy is her ability to maintain flexibility without compromising on quality, showcasing both technical prowess and a knack for bringing clients' visions to life.
Driven by a belief in lifelong learning and personal growth, Grace recently unveiled "Rooted." in collaboration with The Gallery in the Valley during the fall of 2023. This project delves into the profound connection with the plant community through visual meditation and hands-on interaction with the surrounding world. The book, which features a collection of images, recipes, and writings, reflects years of harmonious living with the land. Some recipes are intentionally less intricate, fostering intuition and a deeper connection with the reader's food and self.
In addition to her cookbook, Grace orchestrated an immersive seven-course dinner, showcasing an innovative menu cultivated and prepared by her. Always curating spaces for meaningful moments, Grace consistently seeks ways to explore and forge deeper connections with her subjects and life at large.
Grace holds two degrees, one from Finger Lakes Community College in Communications and the other from Rochester Institute of Technology in Advertising Photography. Both of which she completed with high honors, summa cum laude. She has also completed various artist residencies including one at Salmon Creek Farm in Albion, CA. Her photographs have been featured in the Democrat & Chronicle, City Newspaper, Lake Effect Magazine, among others locally and internationally.
When not behind the lens, tending to the land, or putting pen to paper, Grace can be found at a nearby climbing crag or body of water. An avid lover of life, she relishes in spending her leisure time outdoors, embracing the adventurous spirit that defines her pursuits with a big smile upon her face.
